The data is compiled from the indexes of several on-line census providers. Compiling the indexes requires some interpretation of the writing and this gives rise to errors both in the spelling of the name and the number of individual names, and some providers have not yet indexed all counties for some years. There are some discrepencies. However the summary of the data below does give a good indication of the distribution of Wallbank and variants across England from 1841 to 1901.
